Historical mural dedication

My District Director, Cathy Dupertuis, had the honor of attending the unveiling of a historical mural alongside the Red Bud and Kaskaskia Masons. Both lodges collaborated to commission the esteemed artist Christine Brunk-DeShazo for this project, which commemorates the United States’ 250th Anniversary and the Western Star Lodge No. 107 and Kaskaskia Lodge No. 86, both of which were chartered in 1806. The mural artistically illustrates General Lafayette presenting his sword to Shadrack Bond, who served as both the Grand Master and Governor of Illinois. This significant sword continues to be prominently displayed at this location (as depicted in the image).
