I’m happy to share that three schools in the 115th are receiving funding through the Safe Routes to School Grant Award. These awards are designed to enhance safety and make school more accessible for students.
Chester District 139 and Murphysboro High School will each receive $250,000 for safety and accessibility improvements, including sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, traffic control devices, ADA upgrades, and bicycle infrastructure.
These investments will help ensure that students across the district are safer and have more reliable options for getting to school.
