Last night, our region experienced thunderstorms that caused damage across parts of the district, and some residents remain without power this morning.
My office is in contact with Ameren as they work to restore service to those affected. I’m grateful to the first responders, utility workers, and crews who worked throughout the night and continue their efforts this morning to restore power and clear debris.
Residents who remain without power should report outages directly to their utility provider, including Ameren or their local utility company. Continue to use caution when encountering downed limbs or power lines.
The National Weather Service will be in the Red Bud area today to survey storm damage. If you have photos of property damage, please share that information with Randolph County Emergency Management.
