Rep. Friess, Secretary of State Bring Mobile DMV to Red Bud

State Representative David Friess is partnering with Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias to bring DMV services to Red Bud. On May 13, Rep. Friess is hosting a Mobile DMV visit at Red Bud City Hall to make needed renewals and other services more convenient for local residents.

“This is an easy way for everyone, teens to seniors, to get their renewals or a REAL ID at a location that’s more convenient to them,” Rep. Friess said. “Thank you to the Secretary of State’s office for partnering with us to bring these services into communities without a permanent DMV facility.”

The services that will be available at the Mobile DMV include:

  • Real I.D.
  • Driver’s License (Renewal, Replacement, Correction)
  • State ID Card (Renewal, Replacement, Correction)
  • License Plate Renewal Stickers
  • Organ & Tissue Donor Registration (Only with License or ID Application)
  • Motor Vehicle Registration (Only with License or ID Application)
  • Seniors Aged 65 and older (no charge for State ID)

Rep. Friess noted that driver’s tests will be available during the mobile visit, but please allow for additional time and schedule a test by calling Rep. Friess’s office.

Seniors aged 78 and older must visit a Secretary of State Drivers Services facility to renew a driver’s license.

The Mobile DMV will be at the Red Bud City Hall, located at 200 E, Market Street in Red Bud, on Tuesday, May 13 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Registration is required. You can register for an appointment by calling Rep. Friess’s district office at 618.282.7284, or by visiting his website repfriess.com and clicking the resources tab.

“Appointment times are on a first-come, first-served basis, so please call or register now to secure your preferred time. We hope to see you on the 13th!” Rep. Friess said.
