State Representative David Friess released the following statement regarding the House Rules Vote last week:
“Last week, Democrats passed a set of House Rules straight from the Mike Madigan playbook. House Republicans formed a House Rules Working Group to review and recommend changes for the 104th GA. We advised the Democrats of our working group and requested a meeting to discuss our recommended rule changes; however, despite all the talk of bipartisanship, our request was ignored. We will continue to fight for fairness in the chamber and for the millions of Illinoisans we represent.”
