Rep. Friess Delivers Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus Award Scholarships to Winners

State Representative David Friess was proud to recently award the winners of this year’s Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus Scholarship awards. The winners included:

The Trap and Archery Team – Sparta High School – Coach – Clint Peck- $125.00

Waterloo Lead Heads – Trap Shooting – Coach – Wayne Goudy- $125.00

Steelville Trap Shooting Team – Coach – Rodney Barker – $125.00

Evansville High School Trap and Archery Team – Coach – Robert Rahlfs – $125.00

“Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s scholarships,” Rep. Friess said. “These scholarships recognize their hard work and reinforce our commitment to preserving Illinois’ rich outdoor heritage. I will continue to advocate for policies that ensure future generations can enjoy hunting, fishing, and all the joys of our natural resources.”

The bipartisan Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus seeks to protect and advance policies that promote hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife management. The purpose of the caucus is to be an advocate for Illinois outdoor recreational assets, protecting all fin, fur, and feather pursuits. As an avid hunter and shooter, Rep. Friess supports the caucus’ vision which gives our outdoorsmen and women the ability to enjoy the outdoor sports they love.
