Waterloo, IL…State Representative David Friess is partnering with the Waterloo Police Department to host an Rx Drop-Off event on Saturday, October 26, in conjunction with National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event will take place at Waterloo City Hall, located at 100 W. 4th Steet in Waterloo, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., giving residents a safe and convenient way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.
“I encourage everyone to take a look around their homes and bring any old or unused prescriptions to our drop-off event,” said Rep. Friess. “Properly disposing of these medications helps prevent misuse and keeps our communities safer. By working together, we can reduce the risk of prescription drug abuse and protect our environment.”
The Rx Drop-Off event is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at reducing the amount of unneeded medications in households, which can often lead to accidental misuse or serve as a gateway to substance abuse. Accepted items include pills, patches, and over-the-counter medications. Liquids, needles, or illegal drugs will not be accepted.
Rep. Friess proudly serves the people of the 115th District.
