Red Bud, IL…State Representative David Friess, alongside District Director Cathy Dupertuis, recently attended a meeting with key stakeholders in the community to discuss the economic potential of downstate Illinois. The meeting, held with Red Bud Chamber of Commerce Board Members Brad Mayberry (President) and Quinn Johnson (Secretary), as well as representatives from Discover Downstate Illinois, Cristine Orr (Sales and Marketing Director) and Jessica Haar (Graphic Designer), focused on discussing the unique offerings that Discover Downstate Illinois has for communities within the district.
The Red Bud Chamber of Commerce has been actively working towards fostering economic growth for its members and the local community. Notably, in the past year, they successfully produced a comprehensive visitors guide that highlights essential information about businesses, attractions, and points of interest in the area. The guide, available at www.redbudchamber.com, has become an invaluable resource for both residents and visitors alike.
Building on this success, the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Discover Downstate Illinois this year to enhance the guide further and showcase the many attractions that make Red Bud the amazing place that it is. Discover Downstate Illinois, covering more ground than any other Convention and Visitor’s Bureau in the state, represents 21 counties.
“We are thrilled to be working closely with the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce and Discover Downstate Illinois to promote the incredible offerings of our district,” said Rep. Friess. “Our goal is to attract visitors to stay in our local hotels, explore our attractions, and experience our shopping destinations, wineries, and restaurants.
