Red Bud, IL…State Representative David Friess honored three schools this year with Scholarships through the Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus. As a member, he was awarded $500 to donate for scholarships. The purpose of the caucus is to be an advocate for Illinois outdoor recreational assets.
The bipartisan Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus seeks to protect and advance policies that promote hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife management. Protecting all fin, fur, and feather pursuits. Representative Friess supports the caucus’ vision which gives our outdoorsmen and women the ability to enjoy the outdoor sports they love.
Scholarships were received by the following Schools and programs. Pinckneyville Shooting Sports received $100.00, Murphysboro Trap Inc. received $100.00, Murphysboro Fishing Team, received $100.00, Red Bud High School Trap Shooting Team received $100.00, and Red Bud High School Fishing Team received $100.00.
