On Tuesday, my office and I were pleased to hold two events in Red Bud to better inform small business owners and prospective college students about the opportunities available to them in our local communities.
First, we held a Small Business Information Session and were joined by Ken Stone and Greg Bouhl from the Illinois Small Business Development Center at SIU and Dustin Morrison and Jeremy Cirks from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office.
Later, we held a First-Generation College Student Information Session. We were joined by Michael Gruzeski from the admissions office at WIU and Kelly Bione, the Director of High School Partnerships and Recruitment at SWIC.
