Red Bud, IL…State Representative David Friess (R-Red Bud) has been appointed to the Human Trafficking Task Force by House Republican Leader Jim Durkin. The goal of the task force is to gain further insight into the issue of human trafficking and to research, compile, and recommend solutions to combat the crisis. Representative Friess offered his thoughts on the appointment:
“Human trafficking is a crisis that has gone too long under the radar. With my appointment to this task force, I will work to bring this issue to light and find the solutions needed to end this horrible practice. I thank Leader Durkin for this opportunity and I look forward to working with my fellow legislators and other individuals wanting to help put an end to human trafficking in taking on this monumental task.”
