Springfield, IL…State Representative David Friess (R-Red Bud) offered the following statement about the ongoing crisis with IDES:
“We are now 14 months into a pandemic. With this week’s news of the CDC recommending that fully vaccinated people be allowed to remove their masks, IDES must quit hiding behind theirs. Our constituents are struggling, and so far IDES has remained aloof, closing their offices to in-person assistance. We are even hearing of phone lines being dropped while constituents are trying to reach the help they need. This has gone on long enough. It is past time Governor Pritzker do his job and urge IDES to fully open so that the people of Illinois, who have been struggling for so long, can finally begin putting their lives back together.”
